Question CPU high temps on balanced mode even in idle

Hello!I have an Asus gaming laptop and I play games on power saving mode because in balanced I get 50-66 degrees even in idle.I have the latest bios,cpu and gpu drivers.I also have a cooling pad that's working.What should I do?I bought my laptop like 2 months ago or something.

Which ASUS laptop? I’ve seen reviews on several gaming laptops from ASUS that are under £1200 and they have had overheating issues due to poor design.
