Question CPU Hitting 100%

I have:

GTX 1660 Ti
i7-9700 @ 3.00 GHz
16 GB RAM

I've never had issues with this, usually it would be in the 60s-70s when running games like call of duty, but more recently it's at a steady 100% when playing games, freezing my pc. I've cleared up storage for room for virtual memory, I've ran a few network and pc tests, and my drivers are updated, but I dot know where the issue is coming from. Any help would be really appreciated.

What else do you need to know? I'm not too sure where I can find the full specs other than systeminfo in cmd but it doesnt look like it shows much.

Motherboard, Ram name, PSU, storage, etc.

RAM: 1 X 16 GB HyperX Fury DDR4-3000Mhz
PSU: 500W Power Supply
Storage: 1 TB HDD / 256 GB SSD

Open up a website, any destination. Then check Task Master to see whats pulling usage. Wouldn't surprise me if you'd picked up a Trojan somewhere, they can be sneaky, and don't activate until the browser or net port is active.

I checked and nothing had an overwhelming amount, had a total of 8%.

Check other games. Occasionally, games get updates, especially when run through Steam or Origin etc, and these'll include bug fixes for the bug fixes and more half-ashed attempts at anti-cheats, that quite often do more harm than good. Not uncommon for high cpu usage to be a common complaint.
