CPU i7 7700k Not working with MSI z170A m3

My build:
msi z170a m3
corsair cx650 (PSU)
i5 6600k (hyper 212 cooler)
ddr4 1x8gb 2400mhz
gtx 1060 asus strix 6gb OC

so today i purchased a brand new i7 7700k and its not working (the mobo is stil alive because i managed to change back to my original i5 6600k and it works fine) Is there a bios update to support 7th gen cpus or do i need to purchase a new motherboard?

Yes, there is a bios update. You NEED to have a more recent bios release installed if you want to use a Kaby lake CPU on a Skylake motherboard.
