So I read a couple of threads and did not find my solution here, My CPU peak from about 20% to 70% at idle and temps go from about 60c to 80c.

I've checked from task manager and nothing is using my
CPU (I5-4670k) there.

I have overclocked it to 4.2GHz and 3.5GHz it only makes a 10c difference but the peaking still remains.

I have scanned my PC with avast and i have never had viruses.

What is the problem?

They are too small to read.

Idle usage is 0-5% and temps 40-50c at 3.8GHz (Stock turbo speed, stock cooler).

Should be 40C max at idle and 60C max gaming. Blow the case out with compressed air to get rid of dust build up. Increase the CPU fan rp. Get rid of any overclock.

If that doesn't get the temps right then re-seat the cpu cooler - put on new thermal paste. eg http://www.intel.com/support/processors/sb/CS-032036.htm

If that doesn't work then get a better cpu cooler.
Mobo: Asus Z87-A (AI Suite 3 software, where you can overclock automatically or manually)
GPU: GTX 760 Windforce
CPU: I5-4670k
RAM: 12GB 1333MHz A-DATA
HDD: 1TB
SSD: 250GB (OS)

I went to play a quick CS:GO match, with Vsync off so my PC will push for more FPS.

The peaking seems to be gone now, don't know why I have not done anything. It also stopped an other day before but it came back after next PC start up.

Idle usage is 0-5% and temps 40-50c at 3.8GHz (Stock turbo speed, stock cooler).

Is it possible that dust can cause these load peaks (I would understand the temperature caused by dust)?
My PC has these dust filters but not all of fans etc. has it.
