Hi guys,I have a big problem.I cleaned my pc from dust, and I just connected it and now my idle temp is 50c..
I have i5 3570k cpu,and before this my idle was 35-40c but now it's too high!
Here is the screen, and the power of the CPU keeps changing :/

Thanks in advance for helping me out!

Solution
Remove your heat sink - clean CPU and base of heat sink. Apply thermal paste and reinstall.

You should not have removed the heatsink in the process of blowing out your dust.

Oh - take this opportunity to replace the heatsink if you are in the mood. a good aftermarket will serve you well.

Is this a new thing or did you just take a look at the temp out of curiosity after blowing out the dust?

Do you have good airflow in your case? check all the fans - and the PSU to make sure all fans are moving.

Do you have a stock cooler - depending on the amount of space, get a new cooler - we can make reccomendations but frankly anything is better than stock. Newer CPUs are getting better stock coolers - but this is still a valid statement.

Back to the Case - if it is a Dell or similarly small foot print case - consider getting a mid tower or full. These allow for good air flow - once again we can suggest cases - The coolermaster HAF series is good - as are the Antecs.

Please advise...

Hi everyone, thanks for fast answers.Firstly, yes I did remove heatsink and think thats the problem, also I am using stock cooler.
I have a good case..it's cooler master
Before cleaning the dust idle was 35c,thanks in advance

also when I opened core temp the power was changing from 8.1 watts to 8.3 and so on

The thing is,I don't have thermal paste,ut it's still visible.I did clean CPU and base, but I think the heatsink didn't sit too well,I think it should be fine now..will see and report
Dont know why it's a problem,as I did it on other pc and it worked just fine.

UPDATE: It seems I fixed it now by removing heatsing and puting it back better. Now my idle temp is just 29c :) thanks, will test it even more

There is a process for installing a heatsink - and you did not know it or follow it by accident. As such you are having thermal issues.

Buy some paste and use it.

You got lucky with the other PC and unlucky with this one. There are many fine examples on the web on how to apply a heatsink with paste. If you buy a new aftermarket, there is generally a fairly good paste included.

Thanks for advie, but I didn't put the heatsink back as it should be,one thing didn't sit properly and caused problems, now it's fine..Thanks everyone :)
