CPU Idles over 90 C*

i5-6600k idles well over 90 C*
system is watercooled.
i have tried replacing the thermal paste, and it did not help at all..
i tried updating the BIOS and nothing seems to work,

Anyone got any ides?

GeForce GTX 970
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6600K CPU 3.50GHz
16 GB RAM
Windows 10

You have the cooler installed incorrectly in some way. A 90C idle temp either means that the pump isn't working, or the plate is not making contact with the CPU.

are you sure the pump is plugged into the correct fan header, or plugged in at all? that would be my guess

i checked the pump, it works. and the cooler is installed correcrly since it worked when i first got the computer and then after 6 months it just started over heating

A properly installed CPU cooler, from the stock Intel on up to whatever you want....will not allow an idle temp 0f 90C+.

Does it show this same temp in the BIOS?
What was the last thing you did before this started happening?

The CPU cooler is an Antec and it allowed over 90C but if i restart the computer it will give me and overheating error and send me to the BIOS
and the BIOS say 90+

And i did nothing, i might have played games or something but the next day it didn't work correctly

All we're saying is....something is loose or not working.

A properly installed cooler will not see 90C at idle.

It was working tho? then just one day desided to stop working?

i had my stepbrother check it out and he things theres something wrong with the motherboard or something like that?

try using a stock cooler or an older cooler and see what happens. if the problem disappears then we know it's something wrong with the cooler. pretty unlikely that it's faulty so maybe we need to check the mounting again
