I got my cpu and its matching motherboard (in terms of sockets) and I opened and closed the cpu cover fine, but with the cpu, closing it seems a bit tighter than expected, maybe a lot tighter. Is that normal?

Solution Barty1884 Dec 5, 2017 As the latch closes (assuming Intel), it does feel a bit tighter and more pressure than one would expect. Provided you installed correctly, lowered in flag, didn't force anything etc, it's fine.
