CPU Installation tool

Would the CPU Installation Tool that comes with my (ASUS Maximus VIII hero) motherboard affect the performance or cooling of my cpu in anyway? Since you leave the tool connected to the cpu even after the installation. Thanks all answers are appreciated.

I don't think it will cause any trouble since the tool is not invasive with the space for the cooler.
