[SOLVED] CPU Installation With Liquid Cooler

Hey, Im trying to install a Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240 A-RGB with the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X Processor, However when I look underneath it seems to not line up with the CPU.

Has anyone come across this and is this how it should be or should it be lined up?

Have you looked at the installation picture concerning the brackets? Are they in the proper locations?

I have yes, If I am correct I should be using the AM4 standard mounting if that's correct they dont seem to line up?

Here is how I have the mounts mounted to the motherbaord. Shouldn't the gold plat from the cooler cover the top of the CPU entirely?

The cooling plates are designed to cover the hot parts of the cpu. How much of the cpu is covered by the cooling plate?

It's only off slightly, I was lead to believe the the cooler should always cover the entire top of the CPU.

The top bracket is it touching the resistors on the left?

If its only slightly you will be ok. The most important thing is to make sure you have good contact with the cpu. The top bracket is obstructed by the resistors to the left is it?

I was also concerned about this but no there not, the only way I can explain it is I can fit a mobile sim card in there so there is a little room but no much?

According to the instructions Ryzen 3000 cpu should use offset, which I see now you didnt do. When you change it it will probably cover your cpu. Good catch. 👍

That's what im not sure about as using the standard mount doesn't cover the full CPU?

Yes so use the offset and see if it covers the cpu fully. According to the instructions it will better align.
