Well i put my cpu in back wards not knowing there was a right way so after closing the cpu socket latch i didnt think it was in right. So i then un did the latch and took out the cpu. 2 corners on one side of the cpus were a bit bent so i bent them back with my finger gently. I then looked at the motherboards cpu socket and there are only 2 pins that are out of alignment so i told myself ill fix those later (stupid me) and i installed the rest of the computer parts and cpu again and turned it on. I dont have a monitor for it yet but it turned on no problem. I am going to fix the pins when i get home but when i turned it on all lights and fans turned on and everything looks like its working. My question is it certain that the cpu is broken already or did i get lucky. If i fix the pins on the cpu socket on the mother board will everything be alright? and is there any chance the mother board is fried as it seems fine. (also i dont have my ram in yet as thats coming in 1-2 weeks but im worried about my cpu)

What is the make and model of your CPU? Sounds like an AMD. You might be ok but if you bent pins to the internal thermostat then the CPU will work but it will report the wrong temps to the computer so I would check the temps and stress test it to make sure it is ok. It could be other things too. You might double check with CPU-z to make sure that the CPU is reported properly too.
