cpu is at 100c

my cpu is at 100c the games are still working flawless by i am worried if any of the components are melting and releasing toxic gas

100c is way, way too hot for any CPU. I wouldn't even run games on your computer until you can find a way to cool down your system. You might want to check all the fans in your computer as well, to make sure that you have plenty of ventilation.

The CPU reaching anywhere near 100C usually means the heatsink isn't installed properly.

Yes, I agree with Justin. You need to cool that thing down. Invest in fans if you don't have any, and if you do, make sure that they're working. No CPU should be that hot. Don't turn on your system so that it doesn't fry and mess up any other components.

The question is whether that temperature is read correctly...
On 100°C any modern cpu should be throttling like mad. Some could be hitting emergency shutdown temp...

if the temp is at 100 degrees the computer should be shutting down on you to prevent damage. also you never told us if it is at this temp all the time or only under full load or idle
