My I7 4790k keeps hitting up to 77 to 80c on portal 2, that can't be normal. I already checked my cpu and replaced the thermal paste again after cleaning it with a microfiber cloth and alcohol correctly, applied a pea in the middle of thermal fusion 400 on the cpu chip and put in the stock fan. I already ordered a new heat sink but the problem I am having is that portal 2 is not supposed to make my cpu go up that high. I really don't know what the problem is. My other pc which has an i5 is old and dusty as who knows what and its portal 2 temps are at the 55c and I probably didn't even put the thermal paste correctly for that one since I was a noob.
Any advice would be highly appreciated, this is my first pc that I actually built from scratch and I'm racking my brain over why it's so dang hot
I also have 5 fans on my pc, 120mm back, 2 top, and 1 front, gpu temps are fine they go up to 60 to 65c
