Hi there,

Could anyone please advise some steps I can take to try and save my processor? I suddenly began experiencing bad performance all round a couple weeks back. I am not above replacing it if needed but would like to use that as a last resort.

Here is my initial benchmark

cpu temp on idle and load?
make and model of the psu?

Okay so this is the PSU. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/MfJwrH/evga-power-supply-220g20750xr
EVGA - SuperNOVA G2 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

EVGA - SuperNOVA G2 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

As for CPU temps

On Idle it was at around 33c

Used the Intel Extreme Utility tool for the stress test. Temperature appeared to stay at this level and advised 'thermal throttling' was 'no' but did confirm I am constantly at 0.8GHz even at 100% of the CPU being used.

Do you need me to attach any information beyond this?
