So I recently built a new pc:
- fx 8350
- asus 990fx saber tooth
-sapphire 390x
- 8gb RAM
-1000w psu
-h110i watercooler

I had this rig running about 3 days ago without any problems, but then I decided to try put more RAM in so I could get 16gb. It turns out that RAM slot 1 is defective and it was causing my DRAM led to flash red. I took out my new ram to resolve that issue. However, now that the DRAM led doesn't flash my CPU led does...
I'm really confused because I haven't touched my CPU since I put it in about 4 days ago but something related to the CPU is causing it to have errors... I have checked that all my power connectors are firmly connected and that all my hardware is seated correctly. I have also tried resetting the CMOS but that didn't resolve my problem.

I will appreciate it if someone could help me out!
Cheers :)

It is most likely the motherboard causing you problems.

From the Manual

To erase the RTC RAM
1. Turn OFF the computer and unplug the power cord.
2. Move the jumper cap from pins 1-2 (default) to pins 2-3. Keep the cap on pins 2-3 for about 5–10 seconds, then move the cap back to pins 1-2.
3. Plug the power cord and turn ON the computer.
4. Hold down the <Del> key during the boot process and enter BIOS setup to
re-enter data.

MemOK! switch
Installing DIMMs that are incompatible with the motherboard may cause system boot failure, and the DRAM_LED near the MemOK! switch lights continuously. Press and hold the MemOK! switch until the DRAM_LED starts blinking to begin automatic memory compatibility tuning for successful boot.
