CPU LED is red and the monitor is black

Recently bought a new case and moved all the components into from my old case into my new one. After setting everything up and pushing the power button on my computer I heard the usual sounds of the fans but there was no signal on the monitor and there was a red LED on the motherboard. This was the CPU LED and I am unsure why it is on and how to fix it. There are two other LED's but they are green and are located on the and the GPU. My specs are CPU: FX6300, motherboard: asus m5a97 r2.0, PSU: Corsair GS 700, GPU: GTX 760. Any help would be much appreciated.

Check the 8-pin power cable (both ends). Does the CPU fan spin when starting the board?
If yes and still red led, then try re-seating the CPU.

The CPU fan does spin and I've taken out the CPU cooler and re-seated it which led the led to still be red.

Then the CPU might not work. Try testing the board outside the case. See if still the same.

Just been doing that over the past few hours and it it's still the same. Does this mean that the CPU is completely broken and I'll have to buy a new one?

It seems so. If under warranty, I'd RMA both board and CPU. If not, I'd test them at a local PC shop.

Try reseating the graphics card. Just take it out, and put it back in. If the display isn't showing its usually a graphic issue.
