Hey guys so this is driving me insane. I previously had a R9 280X, system was fine for a whole 2 years. No issues whatsoever but a few weeks back, my R9 280X decided to die on me. I bought a GTX 1050 ti. Upon installing it, i had the system stable for 2 days, then my computer started to freeze on me. Once it froze, the restart button didn't do anything so i had no choice but to hard reset. Then, upon hard resetting, the CPU LED appeared in my motherboard. My PSU haves a 20+4 pin connector to the motherboard and a 8 connector 12v rail to the cpu. If i insert the 20 pin only and leave out the +4 pins to the motherboard and connect the 8 pin 12v rail to the cpu, my system boots just fine and the system doesn't seem to crash, and the CPU LED doesn't appear in my motherboard, Everything works like it should but if i connect the 20 pins + 4 motherboard connectors along side with the 8 pin 12v cpu rail, my system doesn't post and it hangs at the CPU LED light. Is my PSU faulty or is this something related to my motherboard. This problem did not happen previously, i had everything connected in the past and this wasn't a issue. Also, my motherboard doesn't detect my RAM on the first 2 slots closest to the CPU. It only detects the ram in my last 2 slots farthest away from the cpu. This also didn't happen previously. What seems to be the problem here ? I'm afraid of frying something.

System specs:

M5A97 EVO R2.0
FX 8320
GTX 1050 TI
RAM: HyperX Fury 1600Mhz 8GB Ram
PSU: lc power 650w lc6650gp3 v2.3
SSD: Crucial MX200

Yeah... now upon further testing, even with the 20 pin and 8pin cpu 12v rail, the system still gives me the CPU LED red light. Gonna buy a new motherboard and see if it fixes the issue, if not the motherboard, the PSU it is.
