Hey everyone! About 3 weeks ago, I built my first workstation PC. Each day, it has ran flawlessly with no problems but as of last night, my CPU load has been throttling anywhere between 1% then randomly jump to upwards of 8% even when no applications are running. This has caused my CPU temp to randomly skyrocket to upwards of 85 degrees until the load jumps back down. My computer specs are listed below:
CPU: Intel i7-8700K (Clocked at 4410 MHz)
Cooling: Corsair H100 v2
Ram: Corsair Vengence (16GB)
Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-E
I should note that my RAM load is consistently at about 30% as well. I have Malwarebytes and everytime that I open Chrome, I immediately detect the following threat:
pup.optionial.conduit
As soon as I open Chrome, this threat is detected and my CPU throttles.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated
