CPU massively under-performing in Cinebench.

So a few months ago I bought and built my first computer and, at least at the time, everything seemed to be going good. But recently, I was looking at my Cinebench scores for my CPU(i7 7700) and realized they are WAY under what others have gotten in Cinebench. I'm kind of freaking out as I spent a lot on this CPU and I want any help I can get. To put it in perspective, the same chip got around 800 pts in Cinebench and I am getting a whopping 9.5 pts. If it is something I cannot fix should I get an RMA? And also I'm sorry I'm new to Tom's Hardware not very well-versed with it yet. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I somehow doubt that your processor is running at 1% of it's expected speed. I think you would notice that, seeing as it would probably take your computer well over 10 minutes to boot, or over a minute to open something like a web browser, and practically all software would be unusable. : P

I haven't done a whole lot of different tests but I did use "CPU-Z" as well and it under-performed there too. Do you have any suggestions for test I should run?

The CPU and OpenGL results provided by CINEBENCH R15 cannot be compared with previous versions. The tests have been modified greatly and optimized to better measure system performance on increasingly powerful hardware. The scale has been significantly altered to ensure that results with different versions are not compared. Previous CINEBENCH versions reported scores in the range of about 1-50, while CINEBENCH R15 reports much higher CPU scores with decimal accuracy.
Edit: As an example, the "world record" score for an overclocked i7-7700 listed at the following site is 10.14 points for Cinebench R11.5, while it is 932 points for Cinebench R15...

Please post your scores on the different benchmarks so we can have a look and compare them to others.

Wow. I feel like an idiot right now. Yeah I was using 11.5. My bad, probably should've freaked out so much over this. Thank you for the clarification.

I will when I get home, but I just realized that I have been using Cinebench 11.5 and comparing the scores to version 15 so there will definitely be a difference there. Thank you for your response nevertheless.
