I have a 7700K and just about every game I try to play doesn't load and my cpu usage goes to 100%. I have a 1070 graphics card, 16 gbs ram, and windows on an ssd with an ssd for games, z270e motherboard. Only game I am able to play so far is Rocket League. All others open, say theyre open in processes and close soon after or stay open and use 100% cpu.

Bios is .0801 i believe, all games are legitimate copies none torrented. Already did the clean install of nvidia drivers, will try c++ package. Minecraft also works.

Were games working before, and then suddenly stopped working, or is this a fairly recent build?

Just to cover your bases, I'd make sure you have these EXACT driver versions installed. Even if you do, go ahead and install them again just to be sure.

Chipset drivers:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28182/Chipset-INF-Utility?product=98089

Assuming you are running Windows 10 64bit, these as well.

LAN/Ethernet:

Audio:

WiFi:

https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/B150_PRO_GAMING_AURA/WIFI_11ac_Win10_12.0.0.448.zip

Are these games all Steam, or are there different game loaders for some games etc.?

I assume you've tried RE-installing the games, to see if that makes any difference?
Yes, also tried a different hard drive. I initially thought it was due to one game having an update and patch wrong. So uninstalled/reinstalled a few times.
Also the enter keys do not work with the calculator and I cant search applications after i hit the windows key anymore.

It sounds like you've got bigger issues then. I think I might just back up any important files you have and do a clean install of Windows. Obviously that will mean you'll probably have to download some game files and things all over again unless you have them on a separate drive, which is a good idea to have in any case.

Are you running Windows 10?

Yes im running Windows 10, could it be that a cable isnt fully plugged into the motherboard such as the cpu power cable?

Anything is possible so it's always worth checking that all cables are fully seated. Reseat the graphics card. Reseat the memory.

Run Windows update until you stop seeing new updates. Reboot between runs.

You may want to try flashing an older BIOS version too. Maybe go back one or two versions to see if it makes any difference.
