So I built my first computer a few months ago after I finished it the computer didn't post it would just constantly restart itself. At first I thought it was the RAM because for some reason my pc would post when there was only one stick of RAM in it at a time. But both sticks of RAM work one at a time in that same slot. Yes they are identical they have matching serial numbers and they are a kit of two. I also tried my brothers RAM in my pc and his didn't work either. But they worked individually in the same slot. I'm also 100% sure my RAM is compatible with my CPU and my motherboard. later on I figured out it was bent socket pins. At first I thought it was because I'm a dumb ass and placed my CPU in wrong. I then RMA'd my motherboard and got a new one even though it was my fault they sent me a new one. (Gigabyte z97x gaming GT) I then completely rebuilt my pc again a month later and the same problem happend I had 4 bent pins in the exact same spot. My CPU looks to be ok the pads on the bottom look exactly how they should. I have no clue what to do now. I'm probably just going to buy a new CPU and a new motherboard. But I need somebody who's more knowledgable to give an opinion.
