I have intel pentium g3260 and it sais that memory for this procesor is 1333mhz ddr3 does that mean that i can only install 1333mhz ram?
And i saw on video where people build pc with that procesor but they are using 1600mhz ddr3

That's the default speed of RAM modules it was designed to accept. What matters here is the motherboard in question. You first of course determine CPU/mobo compatibility and then you move on to RAM. The motherboard's QVL at it's manufacturer's site is a guideline and not an all inclusive list.

You picked the wrong answer as the solution, since using a higher clocked memory will only result in a clock-limited memory, it will work perfectly, it just won't exploit the memory's potential

But it does allow room for overclocking.

but yes, he CAN still use it which is what he asked before, i also said that he cannot use the memory at 1600mhz but only 1333mhz. So yes it isn't to its full potential but it STILL works. And in the future if he gets a board which alows for faster ram he can use that there to alow it to perform its best.

By "clock-limited memory" do you mean the 1600 MHz RAM will downclock to 1333 MHz? I'm not so sure, the motherboard states that it supports DDR3-1600. In my (admittedly limited) experience, you can run RAM faster than the CPU's rated memory speed as long as the mobo supports it. Sure, it's not officially supported, but I think it should work.

Yes but you have to make sure you change the ratio in the bios to take advantage of that. The memory controller is on the cpu nowdays. Back in the day it was controlled by the motherboard.
