Hi all, so my current system has died, I believe it to be the mobo as I had an identical problem a couple of years ago. Current setup is a i7 4790k with a Asus ranger vii mobo. When the mobo went before we found an identical mobo and just popped it in as a replacement. Now its happened again I want to go down the upgrade route but I am on a budget. For around £460 I can get this mobo, cpu, ram bundle and I wanted to make sure it's a viable setup for gaming being slightly ignorant in how much a mobo can affect such things. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thats one of the cheapest chipset and board for that CPU, along with the Intel stock cooler which is absolutely insufficient to keep it cool as that chip runs pretty hot on load. Not to mention you cannot overclock on that board which is that CPU's USP, cannot run high speed RAM, and moreover it will cost you exactly as much as they are charging you if you buy them separately...
