[SOLVED] Cpu Mobo incompatible

Hi,
I recently bought an Intel core i 7 2600k, wich according to this site http://www.findlaptopdriver.com/specs-2ada-foxconn/ should be compatible with my Mobo.
but when i installed it and booted my PC it told me that its incompatable, did i screw something up?

i have a Foxconn 2ADA ivy bridge

Maybe, i did buy it used. Do i maybe need to update my Bios?

That board launched with the Sandy bridge series so it's unlikely but worth a shot I suppose

Okay so after updating the Bios it still says the same thing, guess i'll return it. thanks anyway =)

Sometimes a bios update is needed for cpu support.
Use cpu-Z to see what your current bios level is and research to see if there is a necessary bios update to support I7.
