I'm looking to buy for a cpu, motherboard and ram at that price point(400 euro). I already have a
m-Atx case, ssd,hdd and a PSU. I will buy the gpu later this year so Intergrated graphics(therefore intel) is a must for now. I was looking at i3 8100, since i don't want to overclock, but there aren't many z370 m-Atx motherboards available for now, and those I can find are over 150 euro. Will I lose any important features going for the previous gen i5 7400(165 euros),a b250m-Atx(90euros),+ 16gb ram(140 euros)?
Thanks

Looking at that parts list above would i get some fatser ram in anyway. I truly feel that the memory controller will support soem faster ram and even if not can you always see what speed it will run and using the next for example could you try lower latencies if only able to run it at 2666mhz for example,

If upgrading to a 8700K maybe in time would you still benefit from this ram.Even in the review above they show the 8100 working with 3200mhz ram and it giving a nice boost.
And yes i know i'm pushing that budget even a little further over, but imo worth it.
Recommend to buy i3 8100, and more info check the i3 8100 review.
And the parts:
