CPU/mobo recs (~$500) for data mining/stats build.

So, this will be my first new build in a few years, and I haven't kept up-to-date with a lot of whats available processor/mobo wise.

Short story, I'm building a computer that will mainly be used for managing/processing/statistical analysis of large datasets. So my question is, what's my best bet with a $500 budget for the CPU/mobo alone?

hmm id say since your mining your going with an ati card correct since they mine 100x better than nvidia cards because of their design.

for 500 id say

7870 ~$220
fx 6300 ~120
mobo ~100

then youd want to get a nice heatsink ~40

i believe that adds up to 480? didnt add it up haha
