Cpu / mobo upgrade for 200 euros , suggestions .

Hey guys ,

As the tittle suggests , I want to buy a 200 euro CPU motherboard combo , for my low end PC so I can get rid of the x4 750k bottlenecking my r9 270x .

Any help will be appreciated

200 euros is not going to get you a huge upgrade over your Athlon. Actually, that Athlon shouldn't be bottlenecking a 270x. I have seen a 860k handle a 280x just fine.



Anyway, your best bet for that budget would be to get a new i3 or a used i5.

Well an i3 4170+ asrock z97 anniversary is 200 euros in my country . is it worth it ?

It would be an upgrade for sure. It would also allow for a much better upgrade path in the future.

Yes anytime you change motherboards, you will have to re-install windows. Make sure you back up all of your important data first.
