I recently had some issues with my pc, and the motherboard is dead. I have a i7 860 CPU and was wondering if it will work in a 1151 socket motherboard? Please Help!

It requires an LGA1156 motherboard.

Every motherboard has a list of CPUs that it will support. It will consist of processors of the same socket type or a subset of those processors. Socket 1156 motherboards will only support socket 1156 processors. Socket 1156 processors will only work in socket 1156 motherboards.
