[SOLVED] CPU + Motherboard Compatibility.

I have a Gigabyte b150m-ds3h-cf
I want to know if a Intel Core i9-9900K Desktop Processor 8 Cores up to 5.0 GHz Turbo Unlocked LGA1151 300 Series 95W is compatible.

Look at the Gigabyte website and check the CPU compatibility list...it often changes with BIOS updates.

Looking at your motherboard I would guess it does not support the i9 chips...the board has a rather weak VRM design and the socket is not the right version.

The Intel B150 motherboards only support the 6th and 7th generation Intel Core I-Series processors. The 9th Generation Core I9-9900K is NOT supported.

After a BIOS update to version F20, yes. It should be (I am unsure about the "-CF" nomenclature in your motherboard model number).
