What CPU and motherboard should I buy? I have a GTX 1050 TI and 8 GB ram DDR4, but both my cpu and motherboard are about 6-7 years old. What should I consider buying on a budget of 200 dollars? I was thinking of a Ryzen 5 1400 and an ASUS H110M-R/C/SI

Solution
but both my cpu and motherboard are about 6-7 years old.
What cpu did you have? Assuming you play the league and legends, and even you had the dual cores cpu you still can play the game well. Here is review ( it is old) https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/league-of-legends-performance-benchmark,3484.html

If you want to upgrade to ryzen 5 that will be great one, but the MB is not compatible to the AMD cpu, because H110 is intel brand.

Here is what I recommend, if you are in USA.

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2 GHz 6-Core Processor ($129.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock - X370M-HDV Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard ($59.99 @ Newegg)...
