hey every body.

Not long ago, I've opened my case to clean my computer's hardware with the dust sprayer. I've also removed the motherboard along with the CPU cooler on top and I've noticed that the goo that I've applied to the CPU has fallen down (my case is standing). I had about 1mm or something like that of space between both the CPU and the cooler. I have an ASUS P5Q motherboard with Q8400 and Cooler Master GeminII S heatsink.
I knew that my CPU cores were heating up very fast (highest load average is about 89*C and I know that it had hit as high as 100*C). When I mounted for the first time this computer, I had then all my 4 cores running; now I only have 3. I don't know what has happened to the 4th! I have been looking for an answer on the internet, but no luck!
Can someone please tell me what can it be, or what can I do??
I will once again re-open the case this Saturday, and if the goo still has fallen off the CPU, I will be buying a new heatsink. I thought about the "Zalman CNPS10X Extreme".

Thanks, Have a nice day!

Yes. Figured it out and fixed it out, too. I noticed also that the motherboard was warped because I had trouble installing the backplate. I also had trouble fixing the backplate, so I had to ask my brother for help! It's alright now and has made a pretty high improvement over the last temp (especially when the system starts).

Previously, when the computer has started, the temp went up to 50-65C and now, it's 35-40C. WOW! But, R.I.P. the 4th core. LOL

Thanks for the manual, xD.
