cpu- motherboard problem

hi i am trying to buy a new set of motherboard cpu and ram and i would like to ask a question.
i have in mind the intel i5-8600k cpu witch is a coffee lake cpu and i dont know if i can put it in a motherboard with the correct socket but it does not say if it supports coffee lake .thanks

If a BIOS update isn't available to add support, then it won't work. What motherboard are you referring to?

For 8th gen processors is not enough to have same socket (1151) but also needs compatible (360) chipset.
