Hello guys, this is my first post here :)

I currently own a amd phenom II x6 1055t 2.80GHz wich I am selling.

My RAM: 8GB 1333MHZ
My HDD is a 128 gb really bad
My motherboard: motherboard asus m4a89gtd
My gpu: ASUS EAH6850 1GB GDDR5 256BIT (SAME AS AMD RADEON HD6850)

The main reason here that I am selling my CPU and MOTHERBOARD is that I think that the performance is not being that fantastic, not on the desktop but mainly on Counter Strike - Global Offensive.

I've been searching alot arround this question and I really really want to know what to do, I've done some research and this game is related to be a heavy processor game, so the CPU is more important than the GPU, I only play "Counter Strike - Global Offensive" and thats pretty much the game I enjoy playing. My GPU is a Asus EAH6850 1GB GDDR5 256Bits (same as AMD Radeaon HD 6850)

My problem is that sometimes the fps drop for less than 150, and I get like 120....and I own a 144hz monitor so I experience some stutering(I think its the word)/lag low performance.

I really want to know first of all your opinions and suggestions, I had also been looking for this cpu:

i5 4690K or just the 4690, again I would like to know your opinions since i will mainly play this game, and I will not certainly overclock my CPU. I would also love to know a good motherboard for the cpu that you guys think will be more worth in my case.

I will upgrade my GPU LATER ON this year maybe on the 2014 falling.. or 2015.

Thanks and please help me solve this :)

Solution
yeah i understand... every game is different too my friend.

can you do sumthing for me, please ? 😛

reboot your computer, and go to the setup menu . look here , youll see various things, but check if you can see any infos about your cpu speed ( the multiplier use ) , bus speed or anything like that.

post a screenshot for me if you can, that will be better....

from there maybe you can change the refresh rate ( multuplier ) of the cpu like i said. but not all system allows you to do that.

thanks !
hello,

my suggestion would be tell us what is your current front side bus rate.

your motherboard's chipset seems to works with 2600/1000/800 MHz rates. you can see which rate your pc works with currently with a software telling what your stuffs are like PC Wizard.

if your pc works on 2600 MHZ of rate, then maybe its the reason that it is dropping performance...

you should adjust the rate to medium then or even 800 mhz.

fine alvez, happy to help you :)

well yeah if the FSB rate is like around 2600 mhz, this means the multiplier is low ( around 6-7 ), so think like a refresh rate. if it only have a refresh rate of 6-7, then probably that you get less fps ingame. but maybe if you can drop the FSB within your system BIOS ( means increasing the multiplier to maybe 12 ), then the refresh rate will be better , so maybe smoother gameplay or better FPS.

:)

My main problem here is that i don't know if you ever had AMD, It sometimes seems to not give you a good performance i mean, in the past i had a i5 2400 wich burned unfortunelly 🙁 and i had a very bad gpu and i still had a good amount of fps with that pc not on csgo but for the game (cssource) was good, seems like this cpu is very god or good for games like battlefield wich uses the all cores of the game, but in csgo it gives me average 150 fps but drops sometimes, hope you understand what i do mean :)

thanks for helping =)
