Is it still good ?
cpu-z Between i7 6700u and i5 440 single core thread 1420
I7 3960 X 12 MULTI CORE thread 5860
32 gb ram

passed vr ready test except for the gpu NVidia 5600ti
600 watt psu upgrade suggestions ?
If I can still game on the desktop, then whats the best gpu for this that can handle 600 watage fine.

It's still a good CPU, good bang for the buck, high single threaded performance. If you want to improve your gaming performance the GPU has to be upgraded.

It should still be decent for most games, it might lose a few fps on cpu intensive games that benefit from higher clock speeds. Ipc (per core performance) has improved a bit and mainstream i5's/i7's are running over 4ghz, some overclocked closer to 5ghz. Which gpu to pair with it depends on the games and what resolution you're playing at.

If 1080p, consider a gtx 1060 or rx 480. If looking to push even the most graphics intensive games with all the eye candy turned up, maybe a gtx 1070. It's quite a bit more expensive than the 1060 though. Not sure what your budget is.
