First of all my specs:
i7 4790(non K)
gtx 1070
16 RAM
Windows 10 OS
z-97 A asus motherboard
scythe katana3-->antec a-40 PRO
2 antec case cooling fans, one pushes the air out, the other pulls it in.

I made the change between the cpu fans because the katana 3 sometimes stopped spinning when the pc was being boot up, so i went with antec.
The one who mounted the heatsink fan did it poorly and the temperatures while gaming were between 90-100 degrees!

I decided to open the pc, removed carefully the heatsink fan, removed the thermal paste from the cpu and the under the heatsink and applied the paste once again. My BIOS temps were 37-39
degrees and while booting the PC my idle temps are 36-40.
but when gaming the temps can still go up to 82 degrees which is very hot for just gaming.
I have RealTemp which says there are no thermal issues.
When having the katana3 fan, everything was fine, the only things i added are a different fan and 1TB of more storage.

I think it might be bad airflow but when having the katana3 temps were completely fine!
my new fan should cool the cpu but it just doesnt..

If anyone could provide me with any kind of help i would ever so grateful!
Yours truly, daniel.

try cleaning ur case, perhaps the airflow was disturbed
if nothing change, perhaps its because 1 of your fan pushing the wind away, so it means the wind that 1 fan brought is being pushed out by the other one

(btw this is only a thought of mine, coz im not an expert)

100C for a CPU is dangerously high. Maybe you need to change thermal paste or clean your PC overall.
More fans should make up for better airflow. Try 2 on top and one more on front.

Firsty of all thank you for the reply!!
Second, i cleaned my case yesterday, yes the fan that was pulling in the air was very dirty, although now iot isnt, not much has changed...
My cables are also very tidy and shouldnt be a problem.
And about the fans, shouldnt the wind that is being brought in be also pushed out of the case??
Thanks again!

Hey!
Thank you for replying!!
it was once 100c, now it goes up to 82 max, although it is still high for just gaming, i have a program just for the cpu and it says there is no thermal issues..
i cleaned my pc yesterday, a lot of dust was coming out of the fan that pulls the air in, althogh now clean, not much has changed..

i could buy more fans, but i dont know which to place, do i want more that push the air out or more that pull it in.
ALSO
my case is on a stand under the table, so putting two fans on top may not be helpful because the air would be compressed between the top of the case and the bottom of the table..(Although im not sure)

I really dont trust a program that says if the thermal paste is "good" or not
Since when did you change the themal paste? Because most of the time, every 1 or 2 years should it be the changed. Results may vary of course.
Other than that...I dont really know. Never had any problems with temperature.

Well i definitely understand your reasoning, but RealTemp is a very trustworthy and known program, specifically for the cpu.
Before reaplying the thermal paste it did say i had a thermal issue, now it doesnt.
I reaplied the paste about 5 days ago..

Will putting more fans decrease dramatically the temperatures?
Because i am planning to do so very soon
