Cpu no pins and cant lock into my socket.

I just bought a intel i5 and my old cpu has pins while my new one does not. how can i put my cpu in place?

Some CPUs have the pins on the CPU itself and they fit into the motherboard. Newer sockets however are different. The pins are on the motherboard instead.

Are you trying to fit a new CPU into an old motherboard? Maybe give us some info. What is your motherboard make/model and which i5 is it? Just want to make sure they are compatible. It doesn't sound like they are.
