Cpu noise and high temps

Recently my computer cpu has been making noise and Temps are nuts around 80 to 90 degrees for overwatch. I can play for a solid 5 minutest before I start to get extreme performance loss. The noise is Not coming fromthe hard drive or fan but the actual chip area itself. I looked at the thermal paste and it seemed a bit off like half of it seemed dry almost. If I were to replace the thermal paste would that solve my problem or is it something else complety.

I would start with trying new thermal paste and see if that helps. Don't forget to thoroughly clean off the old first though🙂

I'm using a corsair water-cooled can't remember what model

What sound could be coming from the CPU?
Coil whine might be coming from something around the CPU, maybe the VRMS?

Try re-seating your CPU cooler, that worked for me when I was getting abnormaly temps, I tightened my screws and dropped about 10-15C
