Cpu not booting up power bottom blinking

gateway cpu not booting up power bottom is blinking slowly how can i fix this?

when I turn on the computer all it does the desk top the power bottom start blinking and not booting up that is all it does, not even goes to the bios program

Have you recently added any new hardware? Do you hear the hard drive spinning when you attempt to boot the computer?

No I haven't add anything it just happen with out no reason aparently and the hard drive doesn't make any noise

computer is a gateway DX4640-UB201A O S is a windows Vista home edition 64 bit Primium with SPI

"not even goes to the bios program" That's the info I'm talking about. Is it a new computer or old? Did it work the day before? Did you have a BSOD and now this happens? Do the CPU fans turn on? Any motherboard LEDs lighting up besides the power button? Those motherboard lights are indicator lights and can tell you whats going on.

I don't know what the problem is...
