Question CPU not coming out of am4 socket

It may just be shadow or left over paste or something, but to me in the pic it looks like something hit the CPU making a mark from bottom left to upper right where above the 'Z" the lid is dented from right back to left.

There was an issue with the stock paste that came on these that would have the CPU stick to the cooler and quite often the CPU itself would come out along with the cooler. I would think that if you are super careful and take your time you may be able to use some toothpicks or flat end coffee stir sticks to slowly go around the edge and pry it up out of the socket. You will want to go slow and make sure you are keeping the 'pull' straight up and down as much as possible. If you break or bend the pins it will be game over IF that CPU works at all now.

I don't care if something happens to the socket if I pour superglue on the processor and then pull it very hard.

Only if you have the stuff that will remove it without problem....Otherwise, I don't really see how it could hurt so long as you don't let it leak over the edge.

If the mobo is already toast, maybe you can actually pry the socket up with the CPU still in it? I have never tried such.
