Hey,
I installed a 'pentium 3 550Mhz' socket type chip after removing a 'pentium 2' slot type chip into a motherboard which has a slot 1 and a socket 370.When I went in to properties in my computer, it read the pentium 2 processor but it was reading the pentium 3 in POST. After reinstalling windows 98 the same problem occured.I also increased the speed in the BIOS according to the processor speed. Also in the 'hardware monitor' in the BIOS it is reading the pentium 2 and 3 chips temperatures even though the pentium 2 is removed.
Can someone tell my how to solve this problem?
Thanks
