CPU not shutting down? Possible Issue?

I am not sure if I have an issue or not yet and was hoping for some advice. I just noticed today that according to my task manager, my CPU has been on for over 6 days straight, even though my computer gets turned off every night. My computer was on for maybe 5 mins when I took this screenshot. Is it safe/okay for my CPU to stay on, even though the PC itself is off??

**EDIT** I am not overclocked either. By default my CPU can boost up to 4.5, and I don't have any complaints with my processor speed, so I have left it alone so far.

Are you turning your PC off, or just putting it to sleep?

EDIT: Regardless, it shouldn't hurt it. I've had PCs stay on for literally years before.

I am actually turning it off...I go to start, power, shut down. The keyboard lights turn off but the mouse light does not.
I am going to leave the question open for a bit longer, but thank you for your response. I just tried a restart, and the timer reset for the uptime of the CPU. Thanks for the peace of mind. I am going to check my power settings too, and will update if I find anything.

Update: I am using the power setting Samsung High Performance, which says it favors performance for a ssd, but uses more power.
