Hello! I have a computer --
i5 650
Asus P7H55 m
GTX 1050
--

It has Windows 10 and runs it perfectly fine. I decided to switch the 650 to a 750, but when I plug it in, it doesn't go into Windows. Any solutions? Thanks!

does it work when system is reverted with 650?

if no, then check for any damage cpu pins.

if yes, then check if you have the latest bios.
also is this the first time using the particular 750 in question? could be a dead chip.

Possible Reasons:

1- Your motherboard doesn't support the i5-750. It is a totally different class of cpu from the i5-650 even though they use the same pins.
2- You didn't update your firmware before you put in the i5-750. Most motherboards need to be updated before you can use a newer cpu that came out later than the motherboard.
3- ?

No, I've used the 750 before on another machine

I've tried updationg BIOS, but when I flash it, it always says, ROM file not compatible with this system, even thought it was from ASUS website

ASUS website says the 750 is supported
I've tried updating the BIOS, it says ROM file is incompatible with this system, or something along those lines
