I have achieved a 5ghz oc at 1.36v and when I run benchmarks the voltage goes down to what I set it to in the bios, but at idle it runs a 1.4-1.46v how do I make it stay at 1.36v and go down when idle

Solution
Yep an offset voltage would be the way to go though on Gigabyte boards it takes a bit of time getting it just right. You have to set vcore to dynamic mode and then play around until you find the right ofset mv for you. This is the forum I used but there must be one for the Gigabyte Z390 as well....

Also make sure you are not in performance mode for windows, balanced is good enough.
