CPU or GPU first

I have a GTX 960 4gb and a i5 2500k. Play mmos often enough to think about going cpu first, but overclocking it is not a problem, which is why im thinking of an 1070 or 1060

CPU first. Although the i5 2500k isn't too terribly outdated, it's going to be like that soon enough. The 960 is still pretty great, and would run beautifully with any just about any Skylake/Kaby Lake i5/i7.
