CPU or GPU upgrade?

Hey, I currently have an FX-8350 paired with a R9 280x. I'm looking to get some extra performance and am wondering if I would benefit more from a GPU upgrade or a CPU upgrade? Any ideas and if so could you name the products? Cheers!

Both are actually quite high end for today.

What are you using the system for? What are the specs of the rest of the system?

Thanks for the reply! I'm using the system for gaming and just general use. The specs are:
CPU: FX 8350
COOLER: Hyper 212 evo
MOBO: Gigabyte 990XA-UD3
GPU: Powercolour R9 280x
PSU: Corsair RM 850w
RAM: Kingston Hyperx Fury 1600Mhz (1x8GB)
CASE: NZXT Phantom 410
Mix of NZXT and Corsair case fans as well as a hard drive and ssd

You would benefit more from a gpu upgrade, but honestly unless you really want that extra bit of power I would recommend. looking into upgrading peripherals, monitor etc, or save the money and wait until new products release with inevitably a more significant performance difference.

Idk, anything higher than 280X on a stock 8350 will start being bottlenecked. I would suggest a 212 Evo and start overclocking your CPU first.
