CPU or GPU upgrade?

Current specs:
x4 860k
F2A88XM-D3H mobo
1x8gb hyper x 1866mhz
R9 270x toxic 2gb GDDR5
500w 500B psu

My Issue:

I have a 500 poubd budget


Im in a little bit of a dilema and im wondering if any of you can help. Should I upgrade my CPU(x4 860k) or my gpu (r9 270x) thoughts are appreciated

I am honestly more for this option than AMD even tho that i7 is more or less top of the tree.
Even with that it is top of the tree, you will still use it for couple of years and after that time prices will drop and new hardware wll come out so you can change platform then.
With a £500 budget. Replace both. Keep using the same PSU, case and HDD.
