Cpu or gpu

What would work better? Amd x6 fx-6300 with a nvidia gtx 960 4gb, or a amd x8 fx-8320 with a nvidia gtx 950 2gb?

The better GPU always wins. That being said, you could end up bottlenecking the CPU with the 6300. I would mix them and go with the 8320 and the GTX 960. Then again, I would go with an i5 and 970 or higher, but that wasn't your question.

I would go with the FX 6 core and the GTX 960 as the GPU is more expensive and the FX chips are only getting less expensive.

But going there only takes $130, less after after unloading the 6 core, and you'd rather SLI a 960 someday to squeeze more life out of it (especially with 4Gb vRAM)....
