cpu or motherboard

I killed my computer somehow I left and came back and someone messed with it now it doesn't work. I took it to a computer shop to see what they thought. They tested cpu and it wasn't even hot. Then they tested the motherboard they said that it's either the cpu or motherboard or both. Well I bought a new cpu same model and same motherboard. I'm waiting on the motherboard tomorrow delivery. My question is. Would the motherboard not come on at all if it is broken. I installed the cpu. It came on all the fans run and I plugged it up but the screen says no signal I hope it's the motherboard because that is being shipped to my place. That would be my only guess. The I have with everything plugged in shows no signal. The ram is working and he tested all components with a power tester.

I have a gtx750 psu350w. Two 8 sticks of ram. Ssd 500gb 1tb hhd motherboard m32bf

Can someone clarify how to fix this. I'm getting a new motherboard that is the same that I have in it. Will the motherboard fix this issue? I bought a new cpu. When I went to have it checked out the display said no signal. All the fans were on. But the old cpu was cold and had no sign of working. I don't know how all this happened. I went somewhere and came back a was doing like I'm saying now.

strip system to minimal parts use only 1 ram stick and the os drive also made sure all wire are plug on the board and cpu fan spin when system power on the other thing to check is when you have power on the psu does the board led is on .

O bought a new cpu and motherboard I'm about to plug them it. I hope it is just the motherboard.thanks for the advice
