So I am currently contemplating whether I should get an i7 6700k with 16gb of ddr4 ram or an i5 6600k with 32gb of ddr4 ram, i want the extra ram so that i never have to worry about needing more ram in the future for anything im gonna do. So basically what is more important getting a better CPU or better RAM

Solution
I would with the 6700K and 16GB of RAM. 32GB of RAM is definitely overkill, and isn't needed. I did video editing and other things that needed high RAM, and it never used nearly 16GB of RAM, so 32GB is overkill.

Plus, the 6700K has the extra threads (Hyperthreading), higher core clock speed and has higher performance than the 6600K, although they overclock to similar clock speeds, the 6700K would probably be worth it more.

Would stick to the i7 6700k since you won't be using over 8gb of ram (if you dosen't play forza horizon 3 and you're rendering a 8k video at the same time)

And the i7 6700k is faster and got more threads (which is effective because of hyperthreading)

what is hyper threading?
