Hi, ive overclocked my i5 6600k to 4.6ghz but im in fluctuation between 4.6ghz and 4.7ghz (trying to decide which would be better for performance gaming wise)

I dunno if its me but i seem to get lower fps at 4.7ghz(1.280vcore) than i do at 4.6ghz(1.260vcore) . Anyone know why? my gpu usgage is only about 50% btw.

Also the vcore on my motherboard says 1.280 but on HWmonitor it says about 1.292. I think its because of somekind of adaptive voltage but could this cause the lack in performance (because i set my vcore too low)

Sorry for the hard description im quite new to overclocking.

cpu - i5 6600k
gpu - msi 1660 super ventus xs oc
cooler - hyper 212 evo
mbo - z170p d3
16 gb ram

What are the temperatures with both when gaming/benchmarking? If you are loosing performance at the higher clock my first thought would be something is throttling which is usually heat related.

The difference between 4.6 & 4.7 is 2%, you should not be able to notice any difference in real world activities. You should only be able to see a difference when watching a number in a benchmark.
