I have my Intel Corei5 4690k set to 4.3Ghz with 1.18V, and some apps like OCCT and CPU-Z read it as such, but then Windows Task Manager reads it as 5.2Ghz and FurMark along with Valley Benchmark as 3.5Ghz. How can I make sure my overclock has taken?
Use CPU-Z http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z/versions-history.html I have the same processor and benchmarking programs almost always say it's running at 3.5GHz and I have mine at 4GHz. I don't know about task manager because I have Windows 7 but I assure you it's a false reading.
